Chatbot in a box: Introduction to conversation design and conducting research on chatbots

In the emerging world of AI, chatbots are becoming a standard offering that requires the expertise of UX researchers, UX designers and content designers. In this workshop, we will take you through what it takes to create your own chatbot – describe the basic elements of a chatbot, using research to identify user needs and then writing cognitive intents that address those needs. You will also learn how to conduct research on chatbots to evaluate them, what it takes for a chatbot to be successful, and how to avoid common mistakes that lead to poor effectiveness and user abandonment.
