John is a UX researcher who helps organisations produce useful software. He is a software engineer turned UXer specialising in product discovery and UX measurement. He also excels in team coaching, requirements elicitation and the integration of UX design in software production. John has a machine learning PhD and computer communications MSc and BEng from the University of Essex. He is also a Certified ScrumMaster and holds a UX Master Certificate from Nielsen Norman Group. John has a keen interest in software development productivity and software archaeology, including the design of legacy systems and the human aspects that underlie them.
