The field of UX research has made its mark as an invaluable department with companies in recent years. However, there is an apparent gap in understanding how people with a range of cognitive and physical abilities can efficiently learn and use digital solutions. Within the travel industry, accessible design has been identified as an area of opportunity. Six out of ten travelers identify as having a disability. In partnership with the UX Research team and Accessibility team, we’ve developed a program that is more inclusive of a wide range of cognitive and physical disabilities. In this presentation you will learn how we created a new framework of inclusive research, how to move beyond usability testing to understand cognitive disabilities, how to overcome challenges in your organization, and the impact that inclusive research has on digital products.
