Over the past 20 years, the practice of UX has evolved and matured. Has the educational landscape for UX training been able to keep pace? This panel will present a brief look at the evolution of postsecondary UX education and assess where we are today – including university degree programs, certification programs, bootcamps and other continuing education offerings. We hope to be able to engage the audience in an informed and lively discussion of what’s needed for the future of UX education to keep pace with a rapidly changing industry and ensure that UX professionals are prepared to lead the way. This panel is being proposed as one of two separate sessions on education. The other panel will be looking at the state of UX education in the K-12 context.
